Seed festival at Humanisten!

News: Feb 27, 2017

Three questions to Matilda Amundsen Bergström, one of the organisers of the seed festival Fröfest, which will be held 28 March.

Why are you organising this festival?
HuSS (Humanisten Students for Sustainability) and the Department of Literature, History of Ideas, and Religion are organising Fröfest to create an opportunity for staff and students interested in cultivation to meet, exchange experiences, and seeds while having a good time. Also, you can see this type of arrangement as an informal addition to efforts in sustainability, environmental issues and ecocriticism.

How did you come up with the idea? Hur kom ni på idén?
The idea emerged from a need, some of us found that we wanted to share seeds with each other and wanted to give more others the possibility to join us. We also wanted to organize something both for students and staff, which is convenient and nice.

Why should you come to this event?
You should come if you have seeds, cuttings, or pots that you would like to share, or if you want some. Also come to hear Rikard Wingård tell us about the plans on laying out roof gardens at Humanisten, and to meet others at Humanisten who share an interest in cultivation.

The event will be in Swedish, except for the documentary ‘Seeds of Freedom’, read more here
